Goals for establishment:
1. Strengthen the diversity of language learning environments
2. Assist students in obtaining foreign language certifications

General Education Targets:
Targets for NUU General Education (Amended and passed by the September 16th, 2015 Common Education Committee Affairs Meeting)
1. Cultivate necessary forms of knowledge such as Chinese reading and writing abilities, English listening and reading abilities, historical forms of thought, democratic rules of law, and health promotion 
2. Develop fundamental abilities and character traits such as self-exploration, caring about others, social participation, respect for nature, and diverse inclusivity
3. Support fundamental scientific education, such as calculus and general physics, for different academic units
